Admission

At Agastya Gurukulam , we believe in providing a transparent and inclusive Admission process for all prospective students.

All information regarding admission criteria, eligibility and admission procedures is communicated to all parents seeking admission of their child at the very beginning of the admission process. In addition, our website provides all necessary details for your child’s admission.

• Have a desktop or laptop computer to attend classes.
• Sit in a well-lit place with your device camera switched on to make yourself clearly visible to your teacher.
• Complete the assigned homework within the allotted time. This will be taken into account when determining their grades.
• Have an adequate supply of stationery and books readily available during class hours.
• Use the 10-15 minute interval provided between two successive classes to refresh themselves.
• Maintain silence at home while online classes are taking place.
• Attend classes in Bharateeya attire.
• Tie their hair in a braid or ponytail.
• Wear a Bharateeya symbol (pottu/bindi, urdhva pundram, vibhuti, chandanam, etc.) on the forehead.
• Attend educational camps organized by the Gurukulam, as these will be an integral part of the education imparted. (All elementary students must be accompanied by at least one parent.)
• Treat your staff and peers with respect.
• Follow all the rules and regulations. (Rule-breaking and disruptive behavior will not be entertained. In such cases, students will be asked to leave the Gurukulam.)

• Guide and supervise younger children during class hours.
• Ensure a sleep time of at least eight hours for your ward.
• Ensure your child has breakfast at least two hours before yoga, which is the first session of the day. (Children can also have breakfast during the break following the yoga session. In the latter case, it may be beneficial to have something light, such as fruit, before doing yoga.)
• Communicate with the teacher, if necessary, during the breaks before or after classes.
• Fix an appointment with the school to have longer discussions with teachers.
• Provide a Samskritam-friendly environment at home.
• Converse with their wards in Samskritam if possible.
• Use Samskritam terms and words in your daily conversations with your ward.
